Cement industry
Harmful dust is formed in cement production as a result of blasting, cutting, grinding, crushing, and drilling. Such dust (with a diameter of less than 10 microns) can cause cancer, bronchitis, and asthma, as the particles bypass the filters of the nasopharynx and penetrate deep into the lungs. Therefore, cement plants must be located away from residential areas and implement technologies that prevent the spread of dust.
